Zodiac opened in 2001 with Vortex and Detonator but it wasn't new to the park, the ride had already appeared the year before as a temporary addition due to a fire closing some other attractions.

It was painted blue for the 2001 season and advertised as new attraction. Then in 2005 over the closed season, the original ride was removed and replaced with a new version to help with reliability. The ride concept is simple, you sit in a gondola with no safety strap and as the ride begins to spin you become pushed against your seat due to the centripetal force applied on your body, then the ride begins to rise until vertical and you're spinning upside down. Soon enough you are lowered down to terra firma, spinning slows and your ride comes to an end.
