The stage, which will be 148 square metres, will be placed on the far side of the area, close to Depth Charge’s stairs. Terraced seating will surround the areas, along with benches and other seating too. There will be small kiosks and tech areas also built around the area.

The planning application should go through very easily. The stage, measuring 9.9m high at its peak, will not be visible outside the park. The back of the stage will also feature a large digital screen. The park have not received any complaints about any of their stage shows, such as the ones held at Oktoberfest and Fright Nights, nor their Island Beats event from 2015. The space should be ready in 2025.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”4.16″ background_image=”https://www.thorpeparkmania.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/patt28.jpg” background_size=”contain” background_repeat=”repeat” custom_margin=”0px||0px||false|false” custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_gallery gallery_ids=”3321,3322,3323,3324,3325,3326,3327,3328,3329,3330,3331″ show_title_and_caption=”off” _builder_version=”4.27.0″ pagination_text_align=”center” custom_margin=”||||false|false” custom_padding=”||||false|false” hover_enabled=”0″ border_radii=”on|10px|10px|10px|10px” box_shadow_style_image=”preset1″ box_shadow_color_image=”#000000″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″][/et_pb_gallery][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”||0px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_margin=”0px||0px||false|false” custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ text_font=”Quicksand||||||||” text_font_size=”18px” global_colors_info=”{}”]

In recent years, the park have introduced multiple events – such as staples like Mardi Gras and Oktoberfest – and included stage shows into Fright Nights. This has meant they have had to build temporary stages in small spaces. As such, there has been a need for a permanent stage and event space. The Beach, though still used, has less popularity given the park’s focus on an older audience. As such, keeping the small side of the Beach helps advance the park but still cater to younger guests.

The area will feature many sculptures and themed pieces, including a piece labelled as a “loop sculpture”.
