The Director has an open call at the THORPE PARK Movie Studios for his newest film, The Motel. Go behind the scenes of this snuff film and see what happens when you record a horror film…<\/strong><\/p>\n For 2014, Thorpe Park had to replace their iconic maze, The Asylum. This was never going to be easy, but the park celebrated their 13th anniversary of Fright Nights by introducing Studio 13. Leaning into the park-wide movie studio theme, Studio 13 was the perfect way to build on the more themed mazes that the park was creating.<\/p>\n Studio 13 saw guests invited to explore the behind scenes filming of The Motel, a horror film about the Goodwill family, a hillbilly family who are on a murderous rampage. However, fantasy quickly blends into reality, as it turns out you are going onto the set of the film, and the special effects are in fact very real.<\/p>\n As such, the maze came in two distinct halves. The first half featured a reception area and various sets that you’d expect at a film studio: make up room, recording room, etc. The second half featured scenes from the film, which resembles a classic motel. The first half was intense, but the second half ramped this up to another level.
