X No Way Out was RMC's biggest and last investment in Thorpe Park, and is simply bizarre from start to finish.
The ride doesn't appear to have any consistent storyline, although it is clear from theming no longer visible that its creators did plan to introduce a plot, but were perhaps restricted by budgeting.
Riders travel backwards out of the station in confined trains to a height of 42 feet, from where you descend into a furore or twists and turns, and then up onto a mid-course break run. The ride continues in this fashion for several minutes, until you arrive at the offload platform.
Yes, it is entirely random, yes there isn't much in the way of elements, but regardless, it is great fun!
