Loggers leap opened in 1989 along with Rocky Express, making it one of the first major attractions installed at Thorpe Park.

The ride consists of two drops, the smaller of which takes place in pitch black darkness. The second larger drop hurtles riders down a 60 foot slope which includes an airtime filled 'hump'. Overall a pleasant ride, serves as a good alternative to the sometimes mild Rumba Rapids and the always drenching Tidal Wave!
