i think that detonator gives you a real thrill because most of the time you do not know when you are going to drop as i leant when i went on it for the first time it only said the 5 and the 4 until it droped! it was breath taking and all i have to say is take a deep breath when you hear a noise behind you. i reckon tht is the 2nd best ride in the park!

When I went to Thorpe Park with my friend i did i deal with him- if he went on Rush then i would go on detonator. he did so i had to go on detonator. This was the first ride on detonator. So i sat next to him and my restraints were lowered then the announcement played "hold on tight then here we go" and we were getting further and further away from the ground and it diddnt stop- just higher and higher and more higher. then finally the ring slowed to a halt and the dreaded beats started to play 5...4...3...2...1.... THE CAR DROPPED SO FAST YOU COULDNT CATCH A BREATH OF AIR AND WE WERE BEING FLUNG TO THE TOP OF THE CAR AT 5.5 g's! IT was amasing. the reason it dropped so fast was probably the morbidly obese people on it at the same time BUT THE MOST STRANGE FEELING EVER A MUST for all adrenaline junkies LOVE EVERY SECOND!

well i went to thorpe park for my birthday and we walked right up to detonator and i looked up and watched the ride in the queue we only waited like 10 minutes and i thought to my self oh this will be very easy and all my mates were saying the same too! we got on and got strapped in and the music started to play then we got to the top and one of my mates started to cry because it was really high then it went 5.4.3.2.1 DROP! we all screamed and my mate who started to cry was the only one that wanted to go back on! 10/10

This ride is great!!! Going up is sooo fun and you get an excellent view of the park. Then when they do the countdown its gets to one and sometimes it doesnt drop! really good 10/10
