COLOSSUS

Colossus opened in 2002 and was the worlds first ten looping rollercoaster, a record it still holds today.

If there was a dictionary definition for Thorpe Park, the first word used would be 'Colossus' as it represents everything that the modern day park represents. It's high, it's fast, it's thrilling and as a ride that spingboarded Thorpe Park into the eyes of the general public, it has a fierce reputation. Standing at a massive 98 feet, it sends 28 riders through a vertical loop, a cobra roll, two ground hugging corkscrews before delivering it's most famous elements, the inline twist rolls that go right down the left of Lost City. To finish of you're spun the opposite way through an inline twist and there you are, the worlds first ten looping rollercoaster. For all the construction archive information and pictures, here!!
