The CCR had three locomotives, known by the train crews as yellow nose (47), blue nose (48) and new nose (49). The numbers refer to the radio calling codes used at Thorpe Park. Each train carried 200 passengers between Canada Creek and the Thorpe Farm, a distance of 1 1/2 miles. A round trip was 3 miles and ran through a manmade canyon and around Loggers Leap. I was a member of the train crew for 7 years and got to know every inch of the railway and its trains.
