Thorpe Park have today announced what’s to come for the upcoming 2020 Season, including Black Mirror Labyrinth - a new walk through maze experience as well as new events HYPERSpring and SuperCharged Summer, the season is set to end with the resorts annual Halloween event Fright Nights!
Black Mirror Labyrinth
Black Mirror Labyrinth. a new walkthrough attraction is billed as an unpredictable digitised hypnotic maze that uses cutting-edge visual technology and sensory-defying environments to reveal an uneasy truth that manipulates and displaces your very existence.
Black Mirror Labyrinth marks the first time Merlin have collaborated with Netflix who are the worlds largest subscription streaming service.
Set to open at the end of March, entry into Black Mirror Labyrinth will be included with your entry ticket at no extra charge.
Located in the back of The Walking Dead The Ride’s building - the attraction will replace The Walking Dead Living Nightmare maze which first opened for Fright Nights 2017, the space has previously housed a number of walkthrough attractions including The Cabin in The Woods, The Passing, Hellgate and Freakshow 3D, before this the space was used as an extended queue line for X:\ No Way Out.
Between the 4th April and the 31st May the resort will host a new event HYPERSpring -
“Surrender your subconscious and get lost in a digital maze in the new for 2020 Black Mirror Labyrinth, unlock the cryptic code phrase as you ride some of Europe’s most thrilling rides in the Cosmic 6 challenge and indulge yourself with limited edition themed delicacies available at select outlets across the Island.
Then, brace yourself for random rollercoaster replays, detonation delays and system overloads in Hyper Ride Roulette – taking place exclusively during this May Half Term only.
What will you experience as Thorpe Park Resort battles a trans-dimensional glitch?”
Between the 18th July and 6th September summer will be SuperCharged at Thorpe Park Resort, cool down and get soaked on the UK’s wettest water rides with the #SuperSoakedSelfieChallenge before tantalising your taste buds with “Other-worldly island foods” on offer across the resort.
As is tradition, the 2020 season will end with Fright Nights returning between the 3rd October and 1st November 2020. With the removal of The Walking Dead – Living Nightmare will we see a new attraction for the event? If the mazes are not your thing, the resorts thrilling rides will be open into the dead of night on selected dates!
